We are the colour matching specialists that have over 30 years experience.
This is a service where you do not have a code for the paint you need or the paint from the code does not match. Eg if the car has has a repaint and the information was not recorded.
These prices are for Custom Paints matched to a sample. Eg petrol cap, colour sprayed onto a piece of metal ideally. We require a sample to be at least 3 inches by 3 inches. Please contact us for specific sample/ materials and we will do our best to help you.
Hand matching is a match of the paint sample you have sent us, this is mainly used for vintage or custom painted cars where there is no original colour code. Our paint technicians carefully match the sample you have sent and can then provide the paint in sizes from 1L to 5 Litre tins. Please note that blending is required for metallic and pearlescent paint.
We do have Spectrometers which come in useful for initially analysing colours. However this does not work for every colour which is why we revert back to the traditional hand matching bu eye.
We will match any paint colour, not just for cars. We match all types of vehicles including boats, helicopters, and planes. All we need is a sample of the colour sent to us.
We will accept any items as sample paint colours, but bear in mind you are responsible for getting the sample to us. (A petrol cap is often used) We will return your original sample back to you with your paint order.
Hand matching is a time consuming service, once we have received your sample please allow 7 working days for us to complete your order.
The minimum paint quantity we can supply for custom matched paint is 1L.
The cost of Hand Matched Custom paint will vary, as it depends whether the paint we use is Cellulose, Two Pack, Basecoat, or Synthetic Paint. The prices will change by using the drop down menu below.
There may be an additional charge dependent upon the amount of pearl or mica in the BASECOAT paint mixes.
If this is the case with your paint sample, we will contact you prior to mixing with a revised price. As a guide, if we need to use more a pearl or mica in the mix.
We charge a flat fee of £19.95 to hand match your paint. You then need to decide which type of paint you require from the drop down menu below.
For the amateur enthusiast we recommend that for a solid colour you use Cellulose Paint. If you are unsure, please call one of our trained advisers on 01273 326981.
